Expert article about Lodha NCP: Faulty Electrical Outlet Installation

Mr Krishnanraj Rao,

Having reviewed the video where the electrical outlets are mounted, namely , the light switch and dimmer switch.

It should be highlighted here that this method of installation does not adhere to the installation guidelines of any drywall manufacturer. What is shown in the video is a section of floor track that has been adapted on site and used in an untested method of installation.

I note that in a previous video you have stated that the board is of a Saint-Gobain brand.

In this video the board is of a Usgboral brand on what appears to be a Rondo metal stud section.
Are these partition walls in completely different apartments??

What drywall system manufacturer is being used in this flat?

While it is not unusual to have different manufacturers supplying one project it is unusual to have multiple different manufacturers materials used in the same flat as if there is ever an issue with the system which system manufacturer will provide the warranty for the drywall system?

I have attached links below to the correct electrical outlet installation from each of the metal manufacturing brands named above.

Also, is that  black mould or some type of adhesive that can be seen  on the inside face of the gypsum board at floor level at two seconds into the video?

This link is the Gyproc Saint-Gobain India method of electrical outlet installation of sockets and switch boxes. It is demonstrated in this installation video at one minute to two minutes fifty seconds.

Rondo metal systems use a section of metal stud to install an electrical outlet installation.
Not a section of metal that has been hammered flat on site which is what has been shown in your video.

Note the reference to board stagger in this Rondo installation video , it is mentioned at two minutes fifty seconds to three minutes.

This is a reference to your previous video where the boards are clearly shown to be on the same stud on both sides of the partition wall and not on alternate studs as is required by the manufacturer.

As these are the drywall metal framework brands in the videos I will only comment on what I have witnessed with these two brands.

Although it is a USG Boral board in the video it is not a USG Boral metal framework.

Regards,

Matthew Thomas.
